Getting on your bike in Northumberland is a delight and there are a number of dedicated cycleways that will keep you fit and allow you to enjoy the stunning scenery from the comfort of your saddle.

For those that want nothing more than to take their family or friends on a relaxing bike ride, Northumberland coast and countryside offer many miles of safe country roads and car free tracks.

We are now able to offer bike hire to all our guests through ‘Hexham Bike Shop'.

These bikes can be delivered, fully equipped with helmet and repair kit, to the Castle or to a place of the guests' choice (i.e. Hadrian's Wall) and picked up at a designated time.

The hire charge is £20.00 per day, plus a £50.00 deposit, and comes fully insured.
